Tenant fees

What you may pay

• Rent.
• A refundable tenancy deposit of 5 weeks’ rent.
• A refundable holding deposit of 1 week’s rent to reserve a home.
• A payment to change the tenancy, if you ask for the change: £50, or reasonable costs if higher.
• A payment for early termination, if you ask to end the tenancy early.
• Utilities, communication services, TV licence and council tax, where your tenancy says you pay them. On many of our rooms these are included in the rent. See each listing.
• A default fee for a lost key or security device, at reasonable cost and with evidence.
• Interest on rent that is more than 14 days late, at 3% above the Bank of England base rate.

What we do not charge

We do not charge admin, referencing, credit check, inventory, check-out or renewal fees.
