What we collect

• Tenancy and referencing data, if you rent from us.
• Repair reports and photos.
• Payment records.

Why we collect it

We use your data for these reasons.

• Steps before a contract, or the contract itself (your enquiry, viewing and tenancy).
• Legal obligation (for example Right to Rent checks, deposit protection and tax).
• Legitimate interests (running the house and keeping it safe).

Who we share it with

• The landlord of your home.
• Contractors who do repairs. They get your name and phone number only.
• The deposit protection scheme.
• Referencing providers.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a tenancy: 12 months.
• Tenancy records: 7 years after the tenancy ends.
• Call recordings: 7 years.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to object to how we use it.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
